Need a boost? I thought I’d share with you quite possibly one of the most thrilling YouTube automotive videos that I have ever seen. Yes, this truly is it. This video is just so damn good that if I’m ever stressed out or in a bummed mood, I simply click on it and immediately the world’s biggest smile replaces my melancholy one. The video is of a Ferrari F430 Scuderia that was tuned by German Ferrari masters Novitec Rosso GmbH showing what the prancing show horse is truly capable of.
Unlike other Ferrari tuners, Novitec Rosso is known for going to the extreme boosting up power and making aerodynamic adjustments to fit the additional warp speed they pack under the hoods of Italy’s favorite auto maker – this Scuderia is no exception. The race ready F430 (the Scuderia badge notes a race prep) boasts an impressive 510bhp capable of 320km/h (198mph), but as always the Germans needed to have more! Using a pair of belt-driven superchargers – one for each bank of the 4.3-liter, V8 engine – Novitec Rosso set the boost pressure to a mild 7psi (due to the Ferrari’s innate high-compression engine specs) resulting in a whopping 717bhp bumping the top speed to an incredible 348km/hr (215mph) and 0-60mph to 3.5-seconds!
With the additional 217bhp, Novitec Rosso had to keep things cool to avoid any unwanted detonation. For such a task, the team combined some extra capacity oil and water coolers to the factory hardware. Further massaging went in way of larger injectors, air filters and a completely redesigned new engine management system.
Unlike other tuners, Novitec Rosso believes in providing a complete package to its clientele. As such, the F430 Scuderia was also treated to carbon fiber and leather trim in the cockpit and a slight tweak on the aerodynamics with the use of what most could call a lip kit. Regardless of the customization approach, this Novitec Rosso Ferrari F430 Scuderia is a wolf in sheep’s clothing and we love it! Thanks again for making me smile day after day.
So here it is, the ultimate Ferrari F430 Scuderia on a 0-300km/h sprint in 26.1-seconds – care to count?
