In the world of tuners, there are leaders and there are followers. Markham, Ontario based shop NextMod is a true leader and continues to break down well known obstacles in the tough business of supporting enthusiast’s aftermarket parts needs. Officially launched in 2004 as an online retailer, NextMod opened its first physical retail location on June 2009 to a great response and gathering of well over 100 vehicles showing their support.

Started by fellow tuner enthusiast Peter Pang and a few of his mates, the calling to open up a shop came to him soon after his departure from the once successful 3P Magazine (later renamed TUNED Magazine) title. Offering  a variety of performance parts, accessories and wheels as long as you have a need they have the part. Their extensive catalogue spans a number of pages and with the support of an extensive clientele both in Canada and the US, it is no doubt that NextMod is going places.

Inside the shop you’ll be greeted by one of three desk-bound sales staff, one of which include Peter himself. Unlike other shops, NextMod’s presence is that of a retailer although they do have an affiliate shop that acts as their installer with dyno capabilities. As you walk around glancing at each product showcase, you begin to get a sense of what this place is all about – JDM goodness! Alongside the normal parts displays of known rare brands like ARC International and Project Mu, you’ll also notice many limited edition pieces that have somehow fallen onto NextMod’s lap and are up for sale.

NextMod’s expertise range from Peter’s love-affair of all things Toyota / Lexus to Honda / Acura and all-wheel-drive goodness of Subaru and Mitsubishi. Fellow Mazda 3 owners are also long term patrons due to NextMod’s production of unique aero parts for the popular sport compact and endless product knowledge for the platform. Further performance product lines found inside include but are not limited to: AMS Motorsports, APEX’i, HKS, GReddy, TODA, CUSCO, VOLTEX, HALTECH, COBB Tuning, GT Haus, Eibach, MOTUL, Akrapovic, and Hondata – what more could one ask for, right?

If minor tweaks and personalization is your flavour of choice then check out their accessories lineup consisting of lines such as: WeatherTECH, RAZO, Junction Produce, Hella, Air Spencer, Ractive, K&N, Project Kics, T1R, Muteki, BLOX Racing, and M-Style. For those looking to get some vinyl work done, NextMod also does custom decal cutting and installation, although they’ll have you convinced of “go” over “show” in no time!

For those looking to enhance the rolling shoes on their ride, NextMod also carries an array of wheels from top name brands such as ADVAN, Volk Racing, WORK, Enkei, VIP, and Wed’s Sport. If you have the dream and the budget to back it, NextMod has been known to get some of the rarest wheels on this side of Canada, so why not call them up and see what they can do for you? Trust me, you will not be disappointed.

So if you’re in the area I highly suggest stopping in to check them out or even say hi, but I’m sure that you won’t be walking out empty handed either! For all your performance parts and accessories, there is no other in the Greater Toronto Area than Markham’s own NextMod. They provide top notch service, fair pricing and the ability to get anything for your vehicle that your heart desires. Kudos to NextMod for setting the standard of what a successful shop in these tough economic times should be like, keep up the great work.
