Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada
July 11, 2010
Held at the legendary grounds of Mosport International Raceway (www.mosport.com) on a hot summer day, the Import EXPO – I Love Honda inaugural show brought the creme of la creme in Canada’s Honda tuning scene. With much anticipation during the summer season it was no surprise to see the lines to at the gate growing every minute resulting in a much needed secondary line to be created so as to resolve the traffic issues in the race town!
For those unaware of the events that encompass the Import EXPO – I Love Honda show, show director Dave Tsai’s vision revolved around all things true to a Honda purist – from a show n’ shine to time attack battle. Regardless of what your liking is there was surely something to peak your interest from an assortment of car clubs and enthusiasts showcasing their toys to the vendors section boasting the latest goods. Most notable booths included BFGoodrich showcasing a SPOON-fed Acura RSX track-car and Honda who had a 2011 CR-Z on hand stirring quite the buzz!
At the conclusion of the time attack battle the Import EXPO crew held a wild wet t-shirt contest that with no surprise quickly drew crowds to the main stage and lead to the trophy ceremony for the show n’ shine participants and track drivers.
As the first event for the Import EXPO crew, it truly was an unhitched success leaving enthusiasts, sponsors and media affiliates smiling! Get your Honda parts orders in during the winter season, start ripping apart your track cars and be prepared for the next Import EXPO event happening on July 23-24, 2011.
